Description:
Lemongrass Oil is derived from Lemongrass, which is a fast growing, tall, aromatic perennial grass native to Asia. The oil is extracted from the shoot part of the plant and is yellow to brownish yellow liquid in color. Lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopagon flexuosus) is created by steam distilling the leaves/blades from this grass. Lemongrass is commonly used in cooking, but the oil actually has many more benefits due to its high concentration. Its aroma is lemony and grassy (bet ya didn't see that coming), but also a little bitter and pungent. Because its synthetic aroma is used in so many convention cleaners, you might find it reminds you of chemicals, like it does for me.
